"Oh heck yes, we're totally going to be more social and blog more in 2012." We would LOVE to, trust me. But I'm going to be honest with you for a second; our family comes first.
We have a lot of ideas, goals, and dreams but we don't have the time to make that all happen. We would love to go to Wedding Conferences in Vegas, we would love to send custom made Thank You cards to all our clients. We would love to hand deliver all our prints and create cool little graphics to put on our DVDs. We would LOVE to blog every day, and put pictures of every shoot on Facebook, tag the clients, and respond to the clients rolling in.
But with 2 children, we just aint got the time! And you know what? We're cool with that. Here's the plan, I'll let you in on it even though I don't know if I'm supposed to. We're going to treat every client that comes our way like gold. We will jump through hoops for them and work head over heels to provide an awesome experience, create a fantastic product, and make sure they're more happy with their photography. We will make sure our children have awesome babysitters during shoots, we will work late into the night processing photos while they sleep, and we'll even bring them along for guaranteed smiles if we have to. But while I, Marc, stay at home with them, they are our main focus. Until our littlest starts school, you might have to imagine our Facebook page being the best photography Facebook page out there. Until I have all day to really focus on photography, you might have to pretend our blog is always up to date. You may have to accept my quick thank you text as a beautiful custom made thank you card.
These are just little marketing tips, I know ... it doesn't really make or break the photos, which is most important. What you're really wanting is someone with experience, passion and a creative eye behind the lens during your photoshoot. So just remember, we're working really hard for our FAMILY. We want the best for our family and we want the best for you, our clients. All that other stuff will fall in place soon enough. :)
